Ottawa – From June 19 to 21, MP Karen Ludwig, Member of Parliament for New Brunswick Southwest will join the Honourable François Philippe Champagne, Minister of International Trade, to attend the 19th annual Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) National Conference and Business Fair in Detroit, Michigan.
MP Ludwig will join Minister Champagne in leading a delegation of Canadian business women in international trade to the conference. This is the first time a delegation of Canadian business women will be attending the conference which has been held annually for nearly two decades.
Formerly a business owner and a long-time educator of International Trade, MP Ludwig, a Member on the Standing Committee on International Trade since 2015, brings a wealth of experience to the international trade portfolio.
The Minister and MP Ludwig will facilitate conversations with American and Canadian business leaders interested in trade with Canada, including stakeholders in the automotive industry. They will also co-host a reception for the Canadian delegation and invited guests.
